The WCSA is proud to announce that the 2016 National Showcase will held April 22 - 24th  at Sacramento's Hal Bartholomew Sports Complex.  "We are excited to bring top top college club teams to the area of Sacramento," stated WCSA president Greg Runendall.  "Hal Bartholomew Sports Park is one of Northern California’s Premier Facilities and has hosted the State Cup and many regional event. This will be a great location for this event."

The West Coast Soccer Association is proud to announce the Game of the Week.  Both SDSU and UCSD mens and women teams will be playing on Sat at UCSD.  This game is getting some traction in the community.  UCSD Social Media site has over 150 confirmed fans and SoccerNation did an article on this event, here is the the link: 

The WCSA would like to congratulate Kari Schoettler from UCLA on the being the WCSA Player of the Week.  “Kari is one of outstanding players” stated UCLA Coach Juan Urquieta. “This weekend she scored two goals and had two assists.  She is one of the most impressive players to watch. Her simplistic yet classy style of play makes her a lethal forward.” Please come out to UCLA next game vs CSUN on Feb 21 to watch Kari and the rest of UCLA club team. 

The WCSA would like to congratulate Grand Canyon University for 2 wins on their first road trip of the Spring. On Sat they played Antelope Valley College Men's Club soccer team at Anaverde Foothill Park in Palmdale.  GCU came out top, winning 2-1 as all three goals were scored in the first half.

 "Regardless of what the score was, I am very proud of the club" said Rafa Gonzalaz.  "For all of guys, this their first time playing at the college club level. This is definitely a wake-up call.  Now they know what they're up against.  We hoping this motivate them to transfer."
