Registration for the 2017 spring season is now open.

LFSA 2001 Select team competes in US Youth Soccer National League
The LFSA 2001 Select team competes in US Youth Soccer National League play in Wilson and Rocky Mount, North Carolina, December 1-4.
Roster: Heidi Bianucci, Sarah Bires, Paige Copeland, Nicole Doucette, Sophia Divagno, Ingrid Falls, Kirsten Kendler, Malori Killoren, Trina Kulhmann, Julia Loeger, Alyssa Marquis, Jalyn Mosley, Bridget Mitchell, Callista O'Connor, Gabi Sipe, Quinn Sokol, Tina Teik, and Alicia White. Head Coach: Mostafa Edders, Assistant Coach: Kevin Killoren
The US Youth Soccer National League competition is for the nation's top teams in the U15- U19/20 boys and girls age groups. The National League offers exposure to collegiate, professional, and U.S. National Team coaches and offers the highest level of competition in the country. Teams earn their spot in the National League via success in the US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues and the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.
LFSA will continue their group play at the Disney Soccer Showcase in Orlando, December 31- January 2, where teams will continue competing for a league title and a ticket to the US Youth Soccer National Championships in Frisco, Texas.

Foot Skills and Free Play with Illinois Skill Schools
The LFSA Young Scouts Winter Travel Soccer program is lead by Illinois Skill Schools, Illinois' most effective skill- specific soccer training organization. Players participate in a FUN, skill-specific training session that ensures thousands of touches of the ball and encourages skillful, creative play. Players are taught ball mastery exercises and a group of individual skills that are proven to give players a head start in the game and prepare them in the best possible way for travel soccer.
Players are then able to experiment and explore the skills while playing small-sided 3 v 3 World Cup games. Each child has the opportunity to be on a team and represent the world’s great soccer countries.

Girls U13 Select Team Plays in the Regional Championship in Appleton, WI
The LFSA U13 Girls Select team lost 3 to 1 to TFA Elite (Ohio) in a semi final game at the U13 Girls Region II (Midwest) Championships in Appleton, Wisconsin this week.
The Tournament included the top 16 U13 girls teams from the Midwest including 12 current state champions. The U13 Select team went 2-0-1 in pool play, but in the semifinal game against TFA, a team LFSA had defeated twice in the fall, the team was unable to dig out of an early 0-2 deficit. This was the first time since last October that the girls had given up more than one goal in a match. And the setback was the team’s only loss of the spring season during which the team posted a 13-1-6 record.

Girls U13 Select Undefeated in Midwest Region League
The U13 Girls Select Team posted a 7-0-0 (26 GF and 5 GA) record in the Midwest Region League U13 PQD Blue Division, which was comprised of the top teams from IL and neighboring states. The Oktay Akgun-coached team, which includes two Midwest Region Pool and eight IL ODP Pool players, is currently ranked #1 in the State and over the last two years has posted a 37-1-1 record against U13 IL teams with a four-goal average margin of victory.
