Match RECAP: Williamsburg International FC The scoring got out of hand quickly in this one. The first 5 minutes saw 2 quick goals from Richmond County FC and it looked like it was going to be a long day for WIFC. But just 2 minutes later, John Kaddo, snuck an strongly hit free kick from the corner of the box by the Richmond keeper, pulling the side back into the game. The 1st half would finish at 2-1 with both sides seeing a fair amount of control and chances.
The 2nd half opened up with some more mostly balanced play. But then about 15 minutes in the flood gates opened and WIFC didn't have an answer for the Richmond chances. Richmond put away 3 more goals over the next ~20 minutes.
Even with the game seemingly lost, WIFc was able to put another on the board after a well placed ball by Connor Miller found Kaddo through the Richmond back line and Kaddo got his 2nd on the afternoon.
With 5-10 left, Richmond found the back of the net again, this time off an unfortunate own goal, and that ended the scoring for the game. WIFC looks to bounce back after the poor showing by making a statement in their state cup game next weekend.
