The Boston Breakers began playing their 2015 NWSL home games at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium, which is now known as Jordan Field, on the grounds of Harvard University in Allston, Mass. Jordan Field also serves as the Breakers training venue.
Located adjacent to Harvard Stadium, and on the banks of the Charles River, Jordan Field provides an intimate atmosphere and brings fans closer to the action.
Jordan Field, which has a field that measures 116x74 yards, currently has a capacity of up to 2,500 (seating and standing room combined) However, the soccer-specific stadium underwent a massive renovation project both on and off the field for the 2015 NWSL season.
In addition to the new state-of-the-art Field Turf surface that was replaced (enhanced) last summer, seating capacity increased by 2,600, bringing seated capacity to 4,100 (3,100 on the main touchline). Bleachers were added to a location behind the far goal to accommodate the extra seating, and there will be additional space for standing room only. There also is room for 100 pitch side seats.
