Match RECAP: Infinity FC A big second half propelled Infinity FC to a going away 8-1 victory this past Sunday 6/4/23 on the road at Crosby Field over Celtic Classic. The game started close as near the end of the first half, an own goal (still haven't been scored on by the opposition) cut the 2-0 Infinity FC lead in half heading into the break. First half tallies were provided by the ever dangerous Peter Morgan, and Lucimar Dos Santos from the spot after Jon Carter was taken down in the area.
Infinity provided a thorough and direct response creating chance after chance to start the second half. A switch to a more attacking 4-4-2 helped us press possession and push forward until finally we broke through with a wonderfully finished header by Dave Cappuccio off an inch perfect cross from Nick Sperrazza. This proved to open the flood gates as within the minute a great team build up led to a crisp and concise finish by Ben Jamesson off another well placed cross from Lucimar Dos Santos.
The next couple of goals came quickly as well, as our highly talented Polish striker Mariusz Radwanski scored on another wonderful cross from the talented Brazilian (Dos Santos) and then struck directly from a corner kick several minutes later.
Infinity FC Man of the Match, Sean Morrisey, provided perhaps the goal of the day with a beautifully headed finish from a cross from fellow outside back Jeremy Doak. Danny Carter finished the scoring off a lovely ball from Tommy Volpe and Infinity took home a comprehensive 8-1 victory. The goal from Danny Carter was quite deserved, as he was menacing throughout the game in his new role as a striker.
Drew Fiutko, Connor Allan, Reichen Morrisey, Brian Norman, and Dave Cappuccio were once again impossible to break down in the back giving star goalie Tommy Notto little to do on the day. A deserved easy day for the Infinity FC MVP of this young season who was unlucky to see his clean sheet streak snapped. Another strong performance from Infinity FC keeps us at the top of the table level on points with division rivals Bangarang. We look to keep our momentum against newcomers North Collins United Sunday 6/11 at Flash Fields.
