Match RECAP: Infinity FC 5 Clean Sheets in a Row for Tommy Notto and Infinity. There have been games when our stalwart back line left little for Tommy Not"today" to do (Goal scorer Zach Morrisey on the nickname assist). Sunday against nWo was not that day. Tommy came up with save after save after sparkling save to secure Man of the Match honors and his fifth consecutive clean sheet.
Beautiful service from Mariusz Radwanski and brave finishing by Zach Morrisey and Peter Morgan provided the two tallies needed to secure another 3 points against a top D4 side in nWo. They had quality and their strikers proved dangerous but we were able to fend them off in our first true road test of the season.
Billy Seifert, Jon Carter, Brady Thompson, Harry O'Malley, Danny Carter, and Tommy Volpe brought some sting into the midfield and controlled the center of the pitch throughout the day. Strong defensive play thwarted nWo's counter attack despite the speed they possess. Nick Sperrazza was tireless in his hold up play and put nWo under pressure at all times.
All in all, another great team effort and quality 3 points. Good game to nWo, it was a clean, fair and pretty even contest. We just made those couple of plays necessary to get the W. I think it may have been our first game of the season over 45 degrees which was also pretty nice on the Island.
Infinity has discovered there is something bad about Memorial Day weekend, no BDSL soccer with the boys. We will look to come back strong after the break and continue our strong start to the season.
On Infinity!!!
