Manager of Operations
Position Overview:
NYSWYSA is seeking a qualified Manager of Operations to run the day to day operations of a premier soccer development program in western New York State.
The NYSWYSA has over 260 clubs, 4600 coaches and 60,000 players participating in the association on an annual basis. The NYSWYS, with an annual budget of over $1.28 million, currently employs full and part time coaches and office staff.
With its State Office located in Corning NY, the NYSWYSA offers various coach and player development programs, club insurance coverage, player registration, player and parent education programs, an Olympic Development Program for girls and boys and the outreach program for children with mental physical disabilities, TOPSoccer. The NYSWYSA is affiliated with US Youth Soccer and the US Soccer Federation.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage all State player and club registrations.
Maintain NYSWYSA website
Implement and lead the States e-communication platforms.
Assist in managing the National Championship Series (NCS) State Cup
Administer the State’s premier youth soccer league of 200+ teams.
Administer NYSWYSA Academy
Administer NYSWYSA Olympic Development Programs.
Assist in managing TOPSoccer programming.
Support NYSWYSA Risk Management process
Daily communication with parents, referees, assigners, coaches and managers.
Produce monthly reporting for board meetings.
Research the value and potential of new projects NYSWYSA might offer to members.
Support the board and staff wherever required
Requirements:
A college degree, from an accredited four-year college or university.
Extensive knowledge of the game of Soccer.
Awareness of the US Youth Soccer landscape
Good understanding of US Youth Soccer policies and rules.
Familiarity with Soccer scheduling.
Understanding of youth soccer registration processes.
Proven customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to plan and execute multiple large projects.
Excellent analytical skills.
Knowledge of web design and maintenance within a content management system.
Ability to manage e-commerce and mass email systems.
Capability to work flexible hours, including weekend events.
Willingness to travel as required
Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
