On Monday, December 18th, 2017, the CYA community lost a dear friend.  Ralph Wills passed away quietly with his family by his side.  Ralph was the President of CYA between 1998 - 2017 and we have never known a more passionate and dedicated "over achieving" volunteer.  It is impossible to quantify the contribution that Ralph has made to this community since he started coaching in CYA during the 1980's.  Ralph's passion and commitment to CYA stemmed from his mantra that  "It's about the kids!".  Ralph's wife Martha has asked that in lieu of flowers, a contribution be made to CYA in his memory and those funds seed a new financial assistance program in Ralph's name.  Ralph was committed to the notion that every child in our community will have the opportunity to participate in a CYA Sport no matter whether they could afford to pay the registration fee or not.  The "Ralph Wills Memorial Fund" will be the first step in making sure that we never forget that it really is all about the kids.  Thank you Ralph.  The loss of your kind and caring spirit will be difficult to endure but we will never forget you.

Ralph's service will be held on Thursday, December 28th at the Demaine Funeral Home - 10565 Main Street, Fairfax, VA.  Visitation will take place from 10 - 11am and the service will start at 11am.  A reception will follow the service at the Fairfax Baptist Church, 10830 Main Street, Fairfax, VA.  The church is about a block up Main Street from the funeral home.
