Eastside found out what it's like to travel in an O40 game without enough players. The outcome of this game was decided before the opening kickoff. The only question was: How badly will Celtic embarrass Eastside?
Celtic got on the board early when Moh Sanni pounded home his first of four goals on the evening (more on Moh later). It was only a few minutes later when Uwe Mueller blasted home a wicked laser of a shot to make it 2-0. Eastside really couldn't generate any posession at this point and Celtic were tryng to actually play a possession game for once.
Andy Irvine had an opportunity to reward Ebon Nash for making a ridiculously long run from left defense into the attacking third, but Irvine decided to just score on his own to make it 3-0. Sanni added his second just before half time and the score was 4-0.
At the half, Celtic discussed how they wanted to continue to possess the ball and move it around the pitch more effectively. Sanni came out and fired a short angled cannon past the beleaguered Eastside keeper and the route was on. Sanni would dance around the box shortly thereafter and fire a shot off of the near post. The recipient of the rebound was Kirk Komejan - who calmly deposited the ball into the back of the net. It was 6-0 for Celtic and they were nt even trying to score any further.
Sanni found himself with the ball yet again around the 25 yard line. He noticed the keeper was way off of his line and chipped him. It was a dick move by Sanni but, well, it was there so he took advantage of it. Ryan Okerstrom added a goal to make it 8-0 and that's how the game ended.
MVP: Moh Sanni
