JAMES SA'PEREIRA was a four year varsity starter for the Corning District soccer team. During his career, James tallied 22 goals and assisted on 16 others. He was named All-STAC as a junior and senior and was named to the All-Leader, First Team as a senior. In the words of former coach Sandy Ostebo, James was the most creative player he had ever coached and was very instrumental in two of the biggest victories in the program's history. He scored the winning goal on penalty kicks to defeat perennial power Union-Endicott and his play in the midfield was the key to handing Bath Haverling it's first defeat in 54 games. During his high school career, James was selected to play in the New York West Regional Olympic Development Program. It was through this program that he caught the eye of the Clarkson University coaches. He played two years at Clarkson before enlisting in the Navy. After his four years in the Navy, James enrolled at Old Dominion University where he is currently a junior and playing club soccer.
