GERALD SHADDOCK
Basketball - 2013

Gerald ‘Jerry’ Shaddock is a 1955 graduate of Corning Free Academy. During his high school days at CFA, Jerry earned a total of eleven letters while playing multiple sports but it was basketball where he excelled. He led the Bulldogs in scoring two years in a row averaging over 20 points per game and nearly double digits in rebounds. Jerry was twice named All-League and All-County. He was a key member of the CFA teams that won league and country championships. Following high school, Jerry attended Hobart College for a year and played on the basketball team. A year later, he enlisted in the Armed Forces and was stationed at Fort Dix where he was a member of the base basketball team for the U.S. Army. After the military, Jerry continued his government service with a long career with the U.S. Postal Service.
