Tom Ryan was a 1984 graduate of Corning East and also graduated from Syracuse University in 1988. During his four-year career as a varsity letter winner at East, Tom was selected to the All-STC first team during his junior and senior seasons at both the 3200 and 3200 relay events. It was during his senior season that Tom set a personal best record of 9.58 in the 3200. Tom continued his stellar running career while at Syracuse where he was a three-year letter winner for the track team. He was also part of that record-setting 3200 relay team that still is on the record books for the Orangemen. Tom will be joined into the Coming-Painted Post Sports Hall of Fame by this twin brother Tim. He currently resides in Ashland, Kentucky.
