CHRISTOPHER RUOCCO is a 1983 graduate of Corning West High School. For more than 20 years, Chris has worn a number of different hats while serving a number of different organizations, but none of them stands out as much as his contribution to the village of Painted Post during Colonial Days. Each year during that celebration, he has directed the Colonial Days Wiffle Ball Tournament to a status that can only be explained by attending the affair: which is held in his backyard, which is affectionately transformed into Bobo Ruocco Memorial Field for the annual tournament. It comes complete with grandstands, electronic Scoreboard, refreshment stand and Hall of Fame display. It opens with the National Anthem at 7 a.m. and ends with closing ceremonies at dusk. This tournament has become as much a part of Colonial Days as Colonial Days itself. Chris has also coached or sat as a member of the Board of Directors for the West High Lacrosse team. Corning Babe Ruth League, Painted Post Little League, PP Youth Lacrosse League, Skyhawks Lacrosse and the Northside Blodgett Lacrosse team.
