BRIAN ROSE
Basketball - 2010

BRIAN ROSE  is a 2001 graduate of Corning East and was a member of the basketball program for four years. After two years of leading the junior varsity in scoring, Brian took a spot in the starting lineup for the Trojans and led the team in scoring as a junior and senior. As a junior, Brian averaged 10.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game and was second on the team in assists and field goal percentage. During his senior season Brian truly showed his skills and leadership. He led the team in scoring at almost 16 points per game and was the leading rebounder (4.6) as a shooting guard. He was also among the leaders in assists with 45 and set a school record by shooting 78.8% from the foul line. Brian was named team MVP, All-STAC, All-Leader, All-Twin Tiers and was the MVP of the Bob Shaddock tournament along with being the named the Wayne Kenner Memorial MVP. Following graduation from East, Brian attended Corning Community College and finished his sophomore season with almost nine points per game, 2.48 rebounds and shooting 75% from the foul line. Today, while working for the Corning Youth Center, he teaches kids how to play basketball.
