MICKEY REILLY graduated from Corning East High School in 1971 as one of the finest running backs ever to don the maroon and white. He was one of the four backs in the East High backfield that was nicknamed the Fearsome Foursome by longtime Leader sports editor Frank Watts. Mickey joined quarterback Bob Doran and running backs Jim Darcangelo and John Yorio to the school’s first ever undefeated season in 1970. During his three seasons in the East High backfield, Mickey was the leading rusher as a junior and senior scoring nine touchdowns and rushing for almost 700 yards as a senior. He rushed for close to 400 yards and four touchdowns his first five games as a junior. Both seasons, Mickey was the runner up to the Offensive Back of the Year and was named All-League both times. He also coached Small Fry football in the area for ten years. His son Luke was inducted into the C-PP Hall of Fame last year. Mickey and his wife Mary reside in the Campbell area.
