Match RECAP:  Hamburg FC

Hurting on bodies this week, but looked like so did Lackawanna. Hugely important game for playoff standings. They scored in the first minute on an absolute banger, and we settled in to an uneasy press right after that. We got one back shortly after Elliott received a nice through ball from Dan and slotted her home. Lackawanna responded after that going up 2-1. This is what the score held until around the 80th minute. We probably had 25-30 chances that we failed to capitalize on before that. Breaking that drought was a nice header from our boy Dane. Once the score was tied, we absolutely turned back into the team we are supposed to be and turned it up to an unrelenting press. Following up a mad scramble in their box from a ball from Dave and a diving header by Mol, Elliot cleaned up the trash and put us ahead. Minutes later, Lange spotted Mol on a run who took it in and trickled it past the keep to go up 4-2. Lackawanna got one more back on a nasty shot to make it 4-3 but then we held onto that score for the rest of the game.
As expected playing at the Cage is always a unique experience. Around 40-50+ spectators made it a cool environment. Props to the guy in net for Lackawanna, it didn't look like his actual position and he did well.
