In the spirit of the holidays, we would like to thank you and your family for being a part of the Alexandria Soccer Association (ASA) family. We are so grateful to the many parents and children who contribute their time, energy and resources to making our club a success.

The mission of Alexandria Soccer Association is to provide instructional and competitive soccer programs that develop and motivate youth, build character and make a positive impact on Alexandria and the surrounding communities. In 2014, ASA engaged more than 4,000 children, ranging in age from two to nineteen years, in a wide variety of quality soccer programs. In addition to registering more than 2,250 recreational players and 850 Tots soccer participants, ASA's travel program has grown to nearly 700 players. In the past year, ASA added multiple new specialty camps, expanded our after-school and weekend programs and developed new winter programs to serve more local school children. As a direct result of improved community outreach efforts, we welcomed a record number of scholarship students from all sixteen Alexandria City Public Schools. We also added two new full-time staff members and we continue to invest in extensive training for our professional coaching staff. Please take a moment to review the entire list of ASA’s 2014 accomplishments by clicking here.

We would like to extend a big thank you for all that you do as a parent and supporter of ASA. Thank you for giving countless rides to and from practice. Thank you for cheering on our many goals and successful passing combinations; and for your encouraging words when the shot pinged off the post instead of going in. Thank you for giving coaches gifts, providing halftime snacks, scheduling carpools and being sideline liaisons. Thank you especially to our many team managers and volunteer coordinators for all that you do. Without you – your time, talents and support – ASA would not be nearly as successful and definitely not as fun.

Please take a moment this holiday season to give thanks for our ASA community. Make sure to thank the many parent volunteers for all their terrific work. Please also consider making a financial contribution to ASA, which will support our terrific programs and allow us to make sure that anyone who loves soccer can play, regardless of family circumstances. Your financial support for ASA allows us to expand our programs and our scholarships so that we can continue to reach more children and their families.
