The Nomads Soccer Club encourage all players to contact David Armstrong the Youth Program Director 858-413-6879 to discuss a tryout with the Club.  Players who cannot attend try outs will be invited in to our club training program and assessed by our staff.

Beginning August 2016 USSDA National Team Academy Program to introduce Boys Under 12s and 13s

For the 2016-17 Season the Nomads will field teams in the USSDA at the following age groups:

Boys 12s (two teams max 26 players - birth year 2004)

Boys 13s (one team max 23 players - birth year 2003)

Boys 14s (one team max 23 players - birth year 2002)

Boys 15- 16s (birth year 2001/2000)

Boys 17s- 18s (birth year 1999/1998)

 Please bring an original birth document (Birth certificate or Passport as well as one photo copy we can keep for our records) so that we can verify your age division. Plus if the coach likes your player we can sign them up on the spot

The Philadelphia Union announced their first trade of the regular season, shipping defender/midfielder Gabriel Farfan to Chivas USA. This 24-year-old Cal State-Fullerton product logged 57 total games with Philadelphia. Despite playing most of his college career as a midfielder, he was converted to left back after the Union traded Jordan Harvey during the 2011 season.

Tony Lepore has Selected a 19-Player Roster for Tournament Delle Nazioni in Grandisca, Italy, From April 26 – May 6

CHICAGO (April 22, 2013) – U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team head coach Tony Lepore has called 19 players for the Tournament Delle Nazioni in Grandisca, Italy, from April 26 – May 6.

All of the players in camp were born in 1998, with the exception of Malcolm Jones, Erik Palmer-Brown and Ben Swanson who were born in ’97 and are all current members of U.S. Soccer’s Residency Program. Fifteen of the 19 players called in for the tournament are currently on a Development Academy roster. Joshua Perez recently moved from Chivas USA Academy to Fiorentina in Italy.

Lepore has called in 15 players who were in the previous U-15 BNT camp in March.

 The Nomads are pleased to announce the offering of a soccer school combined with their education with a training program for elite players. Pre-Season training will begin September 23rd, 2013. More info

Spearheaded by Doug Spunaugle, Brickman Landscaping Company began major renovations for the Nomads Soccer Club this September. Work included a complete overhaul of the entire irrigation system, weed control, fertilization and re sodding over 7,000 Sq Ft of Turf.  Click for more info 

Congratulations to the Nomads Academy players who recently won the Championship Title at the US Futsal National Championships

Santa Barbara Fiesta Soccer Tournament. We played in the over 30 division and went undefeated the whole tourney. This is the first year that the 82's were able to play and they (we) came out strong. Diego (an 82) got the golden boot of the tourney.

The Nomads Boys Under 14’s became Champions of FWR League this weekend April 15th 2012. This was to cap their Championship titles from Dallas Cup, Surf Cup in recent months. The boys receive an automatic birth in Snickers National Cup Regionals held in AZ June 18th-24th 2012.

Michael Farfan is normally a quiet guy when talking to reporters. But the look of excitement on his face was pretty evident on Wednesday night. After all, the 24-year-old had just played in his first ever MLS All-Star Game. “It was exciting. It’s something that we dream of as kids, to play against the European champions,” said Farfan. “It’s an amazing feeling" Not to mention, Farfan swapped spots with David Beckham in a 74th-minute substitution.
